APPEARANCE: Marietta is a relatively pretty girl with long, curly reddish-blond hair and wide eyes that are a nice green/blue/gray color, like the ocean. Her skin is normally a golden tan and her lips are full and her wide smile normally shows off clean, neat white teeth. She has a nice, slightly curvy body. She can't be considered overweight, though she does have a bit of body fat that bothers her.

HISTORY: Marietta was born the youngest child and only daughter of Daria and Bernard Edgecombe. Daria believed she couldn't have any more children, so when she became pregnant again she and her husband were thrilled. Marietta really was the baby of the family because both of her brothers were at Hogwarts the time she was born, Robert being in his first year in Gryffindor and Jonathan in his fourth year in Huffelpuff. She came from a very loving family, though both of her parents were very serious, especially her Ministry worker mother.

Her childhood was relatively peaceful. Marietta made many friends around the village she lived. When she was eleven she was thrilled to get her Hogwarts letter and was proud to be Sorted into Slytherin and bragged to her parents about how smart she had to be. She made friends with a girl in her year named Cho Chang, one of her best friends. They always had fun and while Marietta was not much of a sports person, she did get into watching Quidditch because of Cho's love of it and wanting to support her best friend in her dreams of being a Seeker for their house one day.

In her second year, Harry Potter arrived to Hogwarts and Marietta, like most, was excited to meet the boy they had heard so much about. Her own life at Hogwarts was relatively uneventful, despite the craziness going on around her that came when Harry Potter came to school. Now Marietta is going into her fifth year and she's a bit nervous because she knows she has her OWLS this year.
