It had been a few months since Cassie had met the rest of her family, but there was still so much to see and learn. Most of that was her own fault, as she spent a great deal of time at the beck and call of her twin brother Corban. Her obsession with him began at the moment she laid eyes on him, escalating when she learned they had shared their mother's womb.
Corban was the most important person in her life, but there were times Cassie could bear to be away from his presence. They were well into their third day of the Christmas holidays, and Cassie thought it was high time she bonded with her only other full sibling. Since learning of their relation, Cassie had spoken to Courtney a bit more, but there hadn't been much one on one time. Not enough for her to really get to know the real Slytherin behind the bubbly facade she put on at school, especially with how surly she had been since arriving home.
Waking in her brother's bed, she only bothered to pull on panties and a tank top before disappearing down the hall to Courtney's bedroom. The younger girl was still asleep, but she wasn't bothered. Grabbing one of her magazines from the floor she laid herself in bed beside the sleeping girl, flipping it open. Witch Weekly had an ad early on for a hair product potion that easily applied brightly colored streaks to your hair, some with special effects. Cassie twirled a strand of her dark brown hair, imagining herself with violet streaks. Maybe glittery violet streaks....or tips! Yes, that was better. Glittery purple tips. Or purple and red! Glancing over at her sister, she imagined she'd look pretty badass with teal streaks or tips or something like that. She'd have to order them some.
The next page was a table of contents with everything from a Best and Worst Dressed List, rumors of affairs, marriages, and pregnancies, blah blah blah. Jolene Wallowitz, guitarist for the female band the Stygian Sirens, was supposedly pregnant with Viktor Krum's love child. She couldn't help but snort. None of these filthy rags had reported anything around her mother's pregnancy with Cressida, but Danna Deville was too clever for any information to get out that she didn't want out. Not that it was a very horrible thing to be carrying the child of a Quidditch hero...Curious, Cassie flipped to the article, making herself comfortable.
