HISTORY:
Leon was born to two families of great renown. Each family well known for sticking to one Hogwarts house. Socrates Ramsey had been in Ravenclaw in his time, part of the Slug Club, prefect in fifth year and Head Boy in seventh, graduating at the top of his class. His future wife he had met in the Slug Club, Miss Ariel Ballard, a Gryffindor. She had been the Quidditch Queen in her time, a rowdy party girl, incredibly beautiful, and very brave. Each was seemingly the epitome of their respective Houses and they fell in love.

The Ramsey family had been in Ravenclaw since Hogwarts's founding, or so they claimed. Socrates's father, Arius, was a very well known author, writing many advanced books on many subjects. He traveled the world in his youth, inventing potions and spells, ridding various towns along the way of troublesome demons. Upon his return to England he settled down, married, and became a magical psychologist, publishing many books on psychology and philosophy. His father before him expected great things of him and he, as a father, expected much of Socrates.

The Ballard family also claimed ties to Gryffindor since the beginning of the prestigious school. Leomaris had been Deputy Head, so close to becoming headmaster as his predecessor was on his death bed, but died in a tragic potions explosion just hours before his boss. Loeb made it his life's work to tame the dragons before being eaten by a Peruvian Vipertooth before his son's birth. Lionel was best known for his work inventing Shield spells among other Defenses against the Dark Arts and for dueling and being killed by Grindlewald. Simba had been a very well known Quidditch player who spent much of his time being traded between the Appleby Arrows and the Caerphilly Catapults. Then there was Aslan, Ariel's father, who played for the Montrose Magpies, Kenmare Kestrels, and finally the Falmouth Falcons for many years before a Bludger accident ended his career. He then moved on to curse-breaking and was killed shortly before Ariel's graduation by a furious mummy.

Ariel and Socrates argued over where their children would be placed. After the birth of both of their sons, Ariel made quick work of filling out their birth certificates to give then lion names, as per family tradition. Llewellyn was first, followed by Leon five years later. Llewellyn made mother proud by being Sorted into Gryffindor at Hogwarts. Socrates then put the pressure on Leon to make him proud by being Sorted into Ravenclaw. Leon, feeling he had the ability to make his father proud, agreed with this plan.

Only when he was Sorted, he was placed in Slytherin.
