MYNAMEIS: Lux Orla Losce
IAM: 17
BORNON: April 12
SPECIES: Half-blood
HOUSE: Probably Gryffindor or Ravenclaw========================================
PLAYEDBY: Dianna Agron
HEIGHT: 5’ 7”
WEIGHT: 135 pounds
APPEARANCE: Lux is only a little on the tall side, though her frame is small enough that she could be considered “tiny” by her peers. Her curves are slight, though definitely there, but some clothes bring them out quite a lot while others almost hide them. She has creamy pale skin, which she likes best with a light tan, and hazel eyes. Her golden hair is about chest length and has a bit of a natural wave, though not enough to really look good without a bit of preparation. Since it can go both ways, she either scrunches or straightens her hair each morning.========================================
STRENGTHS: Loyal, smart, quick-thinking, driven
WEAKNESSES: Stubborn, can push herself too hard, not very caring of people she doesn’t know
TALENTS: Potions, dancing, also has quite an impressive collection of Chocolate Frog cards========================================

Rafferty Losce – father
Aiyana Losce – adoptive mother (deceased)

HISTORY:
Lux was never really supposed to happen.
Rafferty Losce was one of the highest-standing wizards in the moderately-sized town of Pogodin. He was a pure-blood who believed deeply in retaining the purity of the wizarding world. He was the pride of his mother and father, their only son, and he was very successful from early on as a master of potions. His young bride, a trophy wife in every regard, was a beautiful, dark-haired woman named Aiyana. She bore him two children, a gorgeous daughter, Arya, and a strapping young son, Dow. Nothing is so good forever.
Aiyana became gravely ill when Arya and Dow were only six and four. Try as he might, Rafferty could not brew a potion to save his wife, and she perished a few months later. Grief-stricken and infuriated, Rafferty became a much colder, hard man. He threw everything into his career and his two children, pushing them to be the best that they could possibly be. But everyone makes mistakes, and Rafferty’s came in the form of Florence Henderson, a touring Muggle that frequented Rafferty’s favorite restaurant. The two began a steamy affair, which Rafferty broke off after about a month, unable to help feeling as though he had betrayed his dead wife. The damage was done, however, and when Florence flat-out refused to take care of their tiny daughter, there was still enough humanity in Rafferty to raise the girl.
Lux Orla Losce was named for her angelic appearance, not at all the light she brought to her dear daddy’s life. She would never be able to forget that she was Rafferty’s biggest mistake. While her sister and brother grew to be extremely successful like her father, Lux tried desperately to get him to notice her. She hated him for treating her as less than equal to Arya and Dow, but more than anything she wanted him to look at her with that pride in his eyes that shone when he looked on his other, legitimate children. She threw herself into her studies, potions specifically, with her father’s talents and her mother’s stubbornness. Nothing seemed to work, and the fact that she looked exactly like Florence didn’t help her case much at all.
When Rafferty took another girl of Lux’s own age to be his wife, his oldest two children looked on with disapproval, but not unkindness to the new arrival. For Lux, it was perhaps the brightest day of her life. She connected almost immediately with the girl named Talya, and the two became best friends in no time at all. Lux did everything she could to shield Talya, whom she called Lissy, from her father’s wrath. She spent sleepless nights poring over potions books and experimenting with recipes while her father slept, eventually coming up with one that would make him impotent. During the day, she studied hard and did her best to gain her father’s affections, even as she was poisoning him behind his back. Lux had never been stretched so thin, but thanks to Talya, she finally knew happiness.
When Lux was sixteen, the Dark Lord became very unhappy with her father. Lux was separated from her family, as Arya and Dow were countries away, and Rafferty and Talya were both killed – or so she thought. For the first time in her life, Lux couldn’t focus on school, not even potions. She did her best, still, but she became more of a shell than a person with the loss of her best friend.
She was trying to decide where to go during summer months when Rafferty appeared out of the shadows, whisking her into a dark, dungeon-like house guarded by numerous spells. It was cramped, and Lux was more miserable than ever without her best friend. Hogwarts is her only sanctuary now, and even then she works herself nearly to sickness to make her daddy proud.
Because even though she deeply hates him, more than anything Lux wants him to be proud of her.========================================
