Giles Reed was an important man. He was rich, powerful, good-looking, and he could have any woman he wanted. So when he made an alliance with Miss Danna Deville and he first laid eyes on her perfect golden curls and her vivid green eyes, and every sexy inch of her gorgeous body, he knew he wanted her and that he would have her. She had been marvelous in bed...Or rather the living room couch. When they finished, she stomped off to take a shower, muttering under her breath, while Giles relaxed on teh couch, grinning, basking in his good fortune.
He had been a spoiled child, very used to getting exactly what he wanted. And he had heard from his father the sort of things that went on in this household. So when curiosity won out he stood up, pulled on his trousers, and headed down into the basement, wondering if she had any prisoners. And she did! Giles grinned as he saw the man chained to the wall and whistled when he examined the various torture devices all over the room.
"Quite effed up, is she not?" Giles asked with a laugh, shaking his head as he ran his fingers over the whips. What did such a pretty little girl want such big, violent weapons for? "I tell you, though, the crazy ones are the best in bed. Did you hear all that?" he asked, pointing towards the ceiling. They had been just a floor above him. Surely the man had heard. If Danna hadn't carved out his eardrums. What a silly thought. He chuckled.
"She's very tight, you know. I was shocked, really. She has a reputation. Whores are all supposed to be a bit stretched out, aren't they? But not her. You tried her yet? I dunno if she would want to be that kind to blokes like you, no offense. But if she's supposed to be torturing you...I dunno, they say she rapes them, though. Not very smart if she's trying to punish people," Giles chuckled. He'd never tortured anyone but it sounded like proper fun!
"How long you been down here for, anyways?" he asked, grabbing a nearby cane. Dear Lord it was heavy! He swirled it around in his hand, brandishing it like a sword, then carried it over to the man. "I bet you're good fun!" Then swung it into his stomach.

Galen raised his eyes heavily when he heard the basement door opening, glare ready as always for whomever came down. He was surprised to see a shirtless man that he didn't quite recognize as one of Danna's children, who weren't usually allowed down here anyway unless they were bringing him food. It was usually Danna, Christian, Hailey, or Mimsy. Occasionally Richard. But Galen had never seen this man before, and from the look of him he was little more than a tourist.
Galen just raised an eyebrow at him as the man helped himself to a grand tour, remarking about all the noise he and Danna had made, which made Galen smirk. "From her? That's nothing," he said knowingly, remembering that day that seemed to haunt his memories more than anything else as he looked the man up and down. "I heard plenty coming from you, though."
Galen fought not to roll his eyes as the man rattled on, turning his attention elsewhere until the fool approached him with one of Danna's canes, struggling with it and just managing to lift it up enough to swing it into Galen's stomach. It bounced off of his abdomen and onto the floor, and then Galen laughed, really laughed, the sound rich and deep and smooth. This idiot was something else, that was for sure.

The man's comment answered at least one question. He must have fucked her, then, if he new so much. Giles sniffed. Maybe he was just saying things, trying to make himself feel better. But he was in the one in chains. Clearly there was no way he could look good in this situation.
He did underestimate how difficult it was to wield one of these things, however. The cane bounced back, slipped out of his hands, and hit the floor. His face heated up as the prisoner laughed at him. "You're hardly in a position to laugh at the misfortune of others. Look at you." This man was little more than an animal. He was here for the amusement of others, and nothing more. "How does she even do this, anyway? Doesn't look like much, does she? Pretty little thing. One of the prettiest I've seen. But this fierce warrior my father bragged of? I just don't see it."
"Oh? You don't?"

Galen laughed, shaking his head as the man's face turned beet red, cane rolling at his feet. He tried to save face, reminding Galen that he was the one being held prisoner, and marveling at how Danna managed when he couldn't lift a cane to save his life. He just didn't see the warrior in her, and he said as much, just as Danna made her entrance.
"Speak of the Devil," Galen murmured to Giles, nodding to where Danna stood at the top of the stairs and grinning up at her. "You sure know how to pick 'em. Where'd you find this one? My little Kirby could swing a cane better than him," Galen chuckled. He was going to enjoy watching her beat the living fuck out of someone else, for once.

There were some things just awful about not having her reputation here. Danna hated hearing people speak ill of her skill, especially trash like this! Her face burned, stomach churning as she descended the staircase. How dare anyone speak of her that way?
Giles didn't really notice the danger in her eyes, but smiled sheepishly as she entered. "You must know what a pretty little thing you are."
"Of course, Giles," she said dryly, glowering at Galen as he spoke. The last thing she wanted was for him to butt in. He gave her enough bullshit all of the time. She needed to find a way to beat the living daylights out of them both at the same time. "I highly doubt that," she snarled as he said Kirby could swing better than Giles.
Slowly walking across the room, well aware of the eyes following her, Danna grabbed two whips, throwing one towards Giles who scrambled to catch it. "Try that."
Seeming confused, Giles just gaped at her for a moment before nodding and swinging it at Galen. As he did, Danna slapped him with the other one. Giles yelped loudly, turning to stare at her with wide eyes. Danna blinked innocently, stepping closer to them. "Again."
Hesitantly, Giles whipped Galen again and as he did Danna whipped him again. This time he screamed and it was music to Danna's ears, though not near the pleasure she'd have gotten from hearing Galen scream. Such a shame he was so stubborn.
"Anything else to add?" she demanded coldly.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Giles growled. "I just gave you a fantastic night."
"Huh," Danna said dryly.
"Alliances, connections, money...Knowing me will get you everywhere, Danna, and I do not appreciate being repaid in such a dreadful manner," Giles snapped. "You can hardly blame me for trying to put this beast in his place."
"He's my toy," Danna hissed.
"Toy? Of course he is," snorted Giles. "Little girls love toys don't they?"
Green eyes flashed like deadly lightning.
"You want to seem so big and bad, don't you? My father has plenty to say about you, you know. They all do. They're all so impressed with your little torture chamber. But why? You're like those men who collect big things to make up for the lack of size in their penis!"
Danna quirked an eyebrow, smirking in amusement as he sputtered out excuses.
"But who do you think you are? You must think you're something special, but you're not! You want to seem big and bad because the truth is you're nothing, so you have to make up for it by demeaning others and making them look worse!"
"Yes, of course. I forgot you had a psychology degree. So eloquent, you are," she whispered, slapping the whip into her palm. "I don't know much, do I? But you? You know everything. Such a genius. And a saint. Though I do wonder why you were trying to beat my toy in my absence? If you're so above such things?"
Giles was red in the face. "I think I'll be leaving now. And you can forget about our deal!"
Picking up the cane, she jabbed it hard into his back as he tried walking away. She smiled as he fell to the ground screaming in pain. "No. I don't think you will be."

Galen just grinned as Danna snapped at him. The resident fool had him in a very good mood, even as Danna crossed to the other side of the room and tossed Giles a whip. He tried to catch it but only caught the end of its tail, scrambling to pick it up while Galen watched him, eyes challenging. The man obviously didn't know how to crack a whip at all, and Galen barely felt the sting as the man lashed it at him. At the same time, Danna smacked the imbecile with her own whip, and the confused look on his face made Galen chuckle. Giles did it again, and again Danna slapped him, and by now he was indignant.
He spouted off about how he had just given Danna a fantastic night, to which Galen couldn't help but snort. Danna didn't seem quite as enthused as Giles might have thought, but he just continued about how important he was, and how having a connection with him would get Danna everything. Next they argued about Danna's possession of Galen, about how he was her toy, and Galen couldn't quite find it in him to be irritated. This whole thing was much too humorous for the comment to irk him as it normally would.
Giles threw a big tantrum, reminding Galen very much of the spoiled little brats he often used to see in candy shops and other such places. Danna didn't give the man much to work with, instead stabbing him in the back with the end of her cane as he tried to walk away. Galen was quite eager to see what she would do with him now, and settled in, all too happy to watch and feeling as good as he had been since that fateful day he and Danna had conceived their son.

"Have you gone mad?"
"I've been mad, darling."
"You have no idea who you're dealing with!"
"No. You have no idea who you're dealing with."
"Mature," Giles spat, crawling across the floor, whipping his wand out to her. As he began to mouth the words to a curse she hurried forward, stomping on the wand and his hand. The wood cracked beneath her foot. It hurt and the jagged edges cut into her skin, but she only hissed, grinning as Giles wailed beneath her.
"I can't believe I slept with you," she scoffed, glancing to Galen. "And you. I don't think good guys are supposed to enjoy watching other people being beaten."
"I highly doubt you can..."
SMACK.
The cane slammed into his jaw. A few teeth popped out of his mouth and she swore she heard the bone break. He cried, tried talking, but it was hard. Danna understood him, though, threatening that his father would pull out any investments he had given her. Any alliance they had formed was finished. It was sad. She needed all the help she could get, but she would live without the Reed family. They weren't necessary to her cause.
Breaking his arms and legs would keep him from going anywhere. For a few minutes she hit at him with her flogger and the whip, but i curled up in a ball and screamed. It became annoying fast. She hated Galen and the fact that he was so stubborn, but there was such a thing as too easy. Finally she dropped her weapons, kicking the man hard in the crotch. "The two worst prisoners in history. Great," she snapped. "I need a better toy. Galen, do you have any friends less stubborn than you are? Or Giles, do you have any friends with more balls than you do? I need something."

Galen continued to watch in amusement as Giles squeaked that Danna had no idea who she was dealing with, pulling out his wand to point at her. Danna stepped forward, stomping on both the wand and his hand, snarling that she couldn't believe she'd slept with either him, or Galen. Galen shrugged as best he could in his current position.
"In his case, I might make an exception," he replied, content to watch as Danna beat the man, breaking his jaw with a whack from her cane. Giles tried to splutter about how their alliance was over, but Danna didn't seem to care. She smacked him again in each arm, then in his legs, breaking the bones in his limbs to keep him from crawling away. She switched off between her flogger and her whip, next. Galen watched in disgust as the man screamed like a small child, curling into a fetal position and sobbing until Danna finally stopped, dropping her weapons in favor of kicking him in his surely non-existent balls.
She snapped at them both, asking if Galen had any friends less stubborn than he, or if Giles had any with more balls.
"I think you already took care of my friends, darling," Galen growled, reminded of all the possibilities of what Danna had done to Jaegar. Not that the man would scream for her either, Galen highly doubted.

Galen said she had already taken care of his friends. Danna raised an eyebrow. She hadn't really used anyone against him but his family and Jaegar. Then again, she had never really come across any other person that would be useful against him. Though she had mostly given up on threatening his family. Somehow she didn't think it would quite do the damage she hoped, not the way it did to other people. She'd save them until they'd really be something.
"That's a little pathetic on your end, isn't it?" she snickered. Leaning back against the wall, she slid down to the floor and summoned a cigarette, lighting it magically. Giles was doing some quick thinking by the look on his face.
"My father. My father would be more fun. My brother, Wesley. Umm...My niece! My niece, Enid, she's in Auror training! Or my wife...my wife is..."
"Stronger than you?" she guessed, taking a nice, long drag of her cigarette. "Little pathetic, isn't it? Your wife and niece would be better prospects than yourself? So eager to sell out, my friend. Perhaps I'll...hmm..."
Giles's wife and niece were worth looking into, but what was better than that was bringing in Galen's wife and children. Even if she didn't use them to get to him, maybe they would be fun toys. Dylan was so much like her father, but she was a girl and much younger than him, in her early twenties. She wouldn't be as prepared as him. Maybe she was breakable. Danna grinned to herself at the thought.
The only problem was that Danna was enjoying keeping the Cross family alive, if only to see the fallout of things when she finally let Galen go. She was playing friends with Jolene and babysat Kirby now and then. But she could always Obliviate Dylan before setting her free. Or at least erasing memories of Danna herself. It would all just depend on what Galen did. But she couldn't let him go until she broke him, and she knew she would eventually, even if it wouldn't be as soon as she had hoped.
"Christian! Hailey!"
In only moments her two oldest children were standing before her and she wordlessly nodded to Giles. The two set to work immediately, grabbing his arms and legs, twisting them, breaking bones as necessary until they had his limbs tied up in a gruesome bow. He screamed and struggled to no avail and she watched on in amusement. "Wrap him up and send him back to his father with my regards. Tell him Giles has displeased me." Another quick puff later she added, "Then bring me Dylan Cross."

Galen watched in revulsion as the sniveling excuse for a man immediately sold out his entire family, including his wife and niece. He'd met sewer rats more dignified than Giles Reed. Danna puffed on her cigarette, thinking it over for a moment before calling Christian and Hailey down to deal with him. The two broke his arms and legs in several places to tie his body in a bow, something that both disgusted and intrigued Galen.
Danna ordered for the man to be taken away, sent back to his father with a message that Giles had displeased Danna. Galen was almost jealous. He'd done nothing but displease Danna, and he was still stuck here. Her next words made his blood run cold, though. She wanted them to bring his oldest daughter, Dylan, to her.
Galen glowered dangerously at her, his eyes blue fire. Dylan was far too strong, would never crack for Danna, but she was still just a child. His child, his daughter, and this was no place for a young girl. He ground his teeth together, forcing himself to remember the Polyjuice Potion Danna had used in the beginning to make him believe she had Jolene and Kirby. But they were only two of Jesse's children, bastards that didn't share her blood. She could probably have hardly stood to look at them now that he was gone. She couldn't know where Dylan was, Dylan was an Auror, was smart, was protected by the Ministry. Galen couldn't let himself believe that Danna would really be able to get to her.

"And bring me the Anti-Polyjuice, just in case!" she called after them as they carried the still weeping Giles upstairs. Even if she didn't think Dylan would work against Galen, it was worth a shot, and it wouldn't help if Galen thought she was Polyjuiced. Then again, if they killed her, it would be more amusing if he hadn't been at all affected by seeing her tortured and murdered before realizing she was really his daughter...Oh well, they'd just have to see about it.
"I'm sure they'll be a while," Danna muttered, summoning her pack of cigarettes and lit another. "Aurors aren't as easy to capture as the average person, but it's still doable. Shit, Richard! Come set up the other chains!" she called, then turned to Galen. "Smoke?"

Galen would have given just about anything to have his hands around Danna's throat right now. He'd had plenty of training. All it would take was a sharp flick of his wrist, and he could snap her neck. He shuddered, just imagining it. He didn't think he'd ever wanted anyone dead so badly.
She called after her children to bring the anti-Polyjuice, in an attempt to convince him that it would really be Dylan they were bringing. Galen sneered, holding tight to his anger and leaving no room for the fear that threatened to seep in. Anything could be put in a bottle and labeled "Anti-Polyjuice." He glared at her as she offered him a smoke.
"You'll never catch Dylan. Jesse must have slept with a lot of other women for you to keep this up. Or are we moving on to Paul's kids now?" he spat. Merlin, how he wanted her lifeless body in his hands.

Danna hated him for mentioning Paul and Jesse, as well as mentioning other women they must have slept with. While Danna was never monogamous, she hated when her lovers were with other people. They belonged to her, they should never want for anyone or anything else.
"We'll see about that," she said in response to his claim that they'd never catch Dylan. "And no. I don't have any more of Jesse's bastards, unless there are others in the world we didn't know about. As for Paul...I'd never kill his kids. I liked Gus and Tony plenty, and Aaron was okay...My Paul had perfect genes," she mused, trying to keep the sadness out of her tone. "You've seen Richard, haven't you? I don't think you've seen Lexi or Tory. But that's just fine. Dylan will be here soon and this is so much more about your progeny than theirs."

Galen had had it up to his eyeballs with Danna's threats against his family. They'd never done a thing to deserve any of this, other than to be related to him. Using them as leverage was such a low blow. Danna could do whatever she wanted to him, and he could take it just fine. Taking things out on his daughter was weak, even for her.
"Hmm, such a shame he and his perfect genes disappeared on you, isn't it? Lucky man. I wish all I had to do was fake my death to get the fuck away from you," Galen snarled. He could only think of a few times he'd been more furious with her, and he wished more than anything she still had the low-security chains on him. Dylan was strong, especially for her age, but everything in Galen wanted to protect her and keep her from this. He was so proud of his oldest daughter; she had so much going for her, and he loved her. He never wanted her to see this place, or to see him the way he was now.

Why the hell did he have to bring up Paul? Everything within her froze at his comment. Of course, Sadie had gone telling him more than she needed to and he knew too much. For once her sharp, quick comebacks had abandoned her and all she could do was sit there, staring blankly at the wall ahead. The memories were still incredibly painful after all of these years. Paul had been perfect, had meant more to her than nearly anything. Their relationship hadn't been easy, but she knew what he meant to her and what she meant to him. She knew what was true between them. And he was gone for good now and her heart still ached, still missed him, still wished he was by her side. He had become so much a part of her, more than she ever wanted to admit. The perfect soldier, the perfect lover, gone...
"Paul loved me," Danna said quietly. Any irritation had faded along with everything else but that darkness that threatened to overtake her. But Galen faded away and all she could really think about, remember were things she needed to forget. Being with Paul, loving him, his leaving, his return, his death, and every fight and every kiss and every little thing. Some days she hoped he had faked his death again, that he'd come back to her one day. No matter how weak love was...He didn't make her feel weak. He made her feel strong, powerful...
Danna blinked when Christian returned, dragging Dylan kicking and screaming down the staircase. She twisted, squirmed, and nearly fought her way out several times, but Christian was too fast and too good and always shifted himself to catch her. Even her biting his arm did nothing and he continued on with her teeth lodged into him until they reached the floor and he threw her down. Immediately, she jumped to her feet, kicking at Christian who caught her by the ankle and swung her around so that her body slammed into the wall. Dylan shrieked, but jumped back up the instant she hit the ground, glaring at Christian until she noticed Galen.
"Daddy?" she gasped, quickly dodging out of the way as Christian grabbed for her. Danna flicked her fingers so that the shackles slapped around her wrists and ankles, chains dragging her into position. Dylan's eyes grew wide as she struggled against her bindings. "What's going on? Where are we? Who are they? Is this where you've been the entire time?" Danna stood up, taking another drag of her cigarette as Dylan badgered her father. "I've been trying to find you for so long, but no one wanted to take it seriously, but I knew something was wrong and now....Agghhhh!" she screamed as Danna pressed the lit end of her cigarette into Dylan's neck.
"Shut up already," Danna said, stuffing the cig into Dylan's open mouth as the girl went to snap at her. She sputtered, then attempted to spit it into Danna's face, but she was already walking around the girl. "I sure hope our kid turns out better than this."
